A tragic plane crash claimed the lives of America’s most beloved family while they were en route to a concert. Seven members of the esteemed gospel group, the Nelons, including Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, and son-in-law Nathan Kistler, lost their lives in this unfortunate incident. Additionally, pilot Larry Haynie, his wife Melissa, and Melanie Hodges, a family associate, were also among the deceased.
The only survivor, Nelon Streetman, was not aboard the flight. The aircraft went down over Wyoming as the family was traveling to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the wreckage engulfed in flames.
The Wyoming Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there were no survivors from the crash. The surviving family members have expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support, particularly for Nelon Streetman, his family, and their unborn child, as well as for Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark.
