‘Not a litre until Trump…’: Norwegian firm cuts US military fuel supply

A prominent Norwegian oil and shipping firm has ceased all fuel supplies to the United States military in response to the treatment of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky by Donald Trump. The company, Haltbakk Bunkers, has publicly declared its decision to halt refueling services for US Navy vessels as a gesture of solidarity with President Zelensky following a contentious interaction with President Trump.

In an official statement shared on Facebook, which has since been removed due to overwhelming engagement, the company expressed its discontent. The statement remarked, “Today, we witnessed an unprecedented display of disarray broadcasted live by the current American president and his vice president. We commend the Ukrainian president for his composure amidst what can only be described as a betrayal by the USA. This situation has left us appalled. Consequently, we have resolved to immediately cease our role as a fuel supplier to American forces in Norway and to vessels visiting Norwegian ports.” The company further urged all Norwegians and Europeans to consider following their lead.
