President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, has a new, precedent-setting gig as a Fox News host.

On Feb. 22, Lara, 42, who is married to Trump’s middle son, Eric, will begin hosting a new weekend show on Fox News, The New York Times was first to report.

My View with Lara Trump is scheduled to air on Saturdays from 9 to 10 p.m. ET, according to a press release from Fox News Channel.

“Every week, the program will feature big picture analysis and interviews with thought leaders, shedding light on the headlines driving the national conversation and affecting families around the country,” the release states.

Lara has worked with Fox News before. In March 2021, she joined the network as a paid contributor. She left in December 2022 after Trump announced his third presidential campaign in 2024.

Though Lara is the first known family member of a sitting president to host a TV program, a number of other political relatives have gotten involved in media over the years, including Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush; Meghan McCain, daughter of late Sen. John McCain; and Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Fox News Channel says it is thrilled to have Lara join the network, the first time a sitting president’s relative has hosted a show.

Calling Lara “a gifted communicator who knows how to connect to the viewers, successful entrepreneur and working mother,” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in the announcement that “Lara’s innate understanding of the American public and today’s political landscape will be a compelling addition to our weekend lineup.”

Lara herself said in the announcement, “I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to FOX News, talk directly with the American people, and highlight what makes this country so great. As I cover the success of The Golden Age of America, I look forward to where this time will lead our country and where this opportunity will lead me in the future.”

Lara is well-versed in Republican politics. During her father-in-law’s latest presidential campaign, she served as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, staying in the role through the 2024 election.

She left the position in January, according to The New York Times.

Lara previously served as a campaign adviser for Trump in his 2016 and 2020 presidential runs, and she worked for several years as a producer for Inside Edition.

Lara wed Eric in 2014. The couple met six years earlier through mutual friends and share two children, son Eric “Luke” Jr. and daughter Carolina Dorothy.
