Elon Musk is said to have welcomed his 14th child, reportedly with Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink. This information was disclosed on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday, a platform that Musk owns.
Zilis, 38, announced the birth of their son, writing:
“Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son, Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much ❤️.”
Musk, 53, responded with a simple “❤️” in the comments.
The recent post not only disclosed the name of Musk and Zilis’ latest child but also provided information about another child of theirs that had previously been kept private. In June 2024, Bloomberg reported that the couple had quietly welcomed a third child at the beginning of the year. Musk subsequently responded to this report, contesting the notion of secrecy surrounding the matter.
He stated, “As for ‘secretly fathered,’ that is … false. All our friends and family know. Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean ‘secret,’” in an interview with Page Six the following day.
The Bloomberg article, titled “Elon Wants You to Have More Babies,” highlighted Musk’s well-known concerns regarding declining birth rates. In response, he conveyed his thoughts to Page Six.
“Many countries are already well below replacement rate, and the trend is that almost all will be. This is simply a fact, not a ‘debunked theory.’”
He additionally cited fertility statistics from the World Bank, highlighting that a birth rate of 2.1 children per woman is essential for population replacement. He cautioned that global figures are anticipated to fall below this critical threshold in the near future.
