Former agency officials are sounding the alarm that Social Security checks could be delayed or interrupted for millions of retirees, disabled Americans, and other beneficiaries—all because of Musk’s reckless cuts.
Congressman Pete Sessions of Texas, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee’s Subcommittee on Government Operations, has the authority to investigate this issue immediately.
DOGE was never approved by Congress and is now wreaking havoc on a lifeline that millions depend on. Social Security isn’t an optional program—it’s a right that workers have earned over a lifetime of contributions. The fact that Musk and his unaccountable “efficiency” team are putting these benefits at risk is outrageous and unacceptable.
“Ultimately, you’re going to see the system collapse and an interruption of benefits,” warned former Social Security Commissioner Martin O’Malley. “I believe you will see that within the next 30 to 90 days.”
