You don’t need to look very far to realize that people are not very happy with Donald Trump and Elon Musk at this time. Of course, Donald Trump was elected into office so the majority did vote for him, but it seems as if there are many who still are not very happy with him.
One of the issues that has occurred in recent days is for incidents to take place at Tesla showrooms. After Musk got involved at the White House, he also drew a lot of criticism and it has shown up with those showrooms being attacked.
In addition, many other Tesla issues are taking place, such as privately owned vehicles being damaged, Tesla charging stations being destroyed and vehicle lots being the target of vandalism.
When Musk was named as one of the leaders in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), it took a lot of people by surprise. That department has been slashing government spending, but not everybody is happy about it.
According to the website, some $155 billion in savings has happened since the department was formed. Musk has been aggressively cutting funding but not all Americans are happy with the changes. Some of them are taking out their anger on Tesla.
US Atty. Gen. Pam Bondi has now said that some people have been arrested for domestic terrorism and the Tesla attacks may cause people to land up to 20 years behind bars.
She said: “The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended. Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”
Donald Trump has also made some threats of his own on his Truth Social website. He said: “I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla. Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!”
One of those El Salvador prisons was called the worst in the world, and Trump offered to send some prisoners from the United States there. Now that violence against Tesla dealerships may be seen as a form of domestic terrorism, who knows what could happen?
