Karoline Leavitt Has Had Her Belly Full Of CNN And She Let Them Know It

It was bound to happen. CNN got tossed straight into the meat grinder at this afternoon’s press briefing — hardly the first time, and absolutely not the last, that a reporter from that network gets taken behind the barn for a reality check.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt laid out the administration’s successes with precision: the tightening of the southern border, the restoration of enforcement, the drop in inflation, and the aggressive push to bring down energy costs. In other words, she presented facts — something CNN has a notoriously hard time digesting – and presenting to an ever-dwindling number of viewers.

The network’s White House correspondent and evening host Kaitlin Collins tried her usual schtick in grilling Leavitt but it didn’t go well:

LEAVITT: So again, in ten months, the president has clawed us out of this hole. He’s kept it low at 2.5%. And we believe that number is going to continue to decline, especially as energy and oil prices continue to decline as well.

COLLINS: It wasn’t high under Biden. They’re just saying it’s not.

LEAVITT: Nobody reported on it being high under Biden. My predecessor was standing at this podium, but now you want to ask me a lot of questions about it, which I’m happy to answer. But I will just add, there’s a lot more scrutiny on this issue from this press corps than there was.”

COLLINS: Because the president has said it’s virtually nonexistent.

LEAVITT: Well, and the previous administration said that too. My predecessor, stood up at this podium and she said inflation doesn’t exist. She said the border was secure and people like you just took her at her word. And those were two utter lies. Everything I’m telling you is the truth, backed by real factual data. And you just don’t want to report on it because you want to push untrue narratives about the president.

Leavitt didn’t stop at dismantling CNN’s nonsense. She also scorched Democrats for their latest round of performative health-care antics — pushing doomed-to-fail bills strictly so they can churn out fresh talking points for their friends in the fake-news press.

Congress is staring down the expiration of Obamacare subsidies, a mess entirely of Democrats’ making. And what did the Senate do today? They held a show vote on a proposal everyone knew would collapse — and it did, right on cue, in a party-line flop:

And oh, by the way, the Democrats without any Republican support in 2010 created this Obamacare subsidy nightmare. And now they refuse to help Republicans fix/fund them because muh politics:

Of course, it wasn’t all fisticuffs with CNN — Leavitt also took a moment to lay out the numbers the Left desperately wishes you wouldn’t hear. She reminded the room that inflation has dropped 2.7 percentage points, a dramatic turnaround from the 9 percent disaster under Biden. Wages are climbing again, with the average American worker on track to earn $1,200 more, after losing $3,000 in real income during Biden’s so-called “recovery.” And let’s not forget Biden’s infamous 1,000,000 phantom jobs, a statistical mirage his media allies pretended not to notice.

Thanks to Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, tax refunds are expected to jump by one-third, giving filers an extra $1,000 on average. And the tax relief goes even further — no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security benefits. Policies that actually put money back in people’s pockets — something Biden wouldn’t know if it hit him with a W-2.

Energy costs? Same story. Gas is now under $3 in 37 states, under $2.75 in 22 states, and under $2 in five states.

These are real, tangible improvements — not the fantasy metrics and magical job counts Biden inflated to keep the press pacified. Trump delivered results. And Leavitt made sure the media heard every last statistic whether they liked it or not.

And then there’s the border — now the most secure it has been in the history of the United States. The Trump White House didn’t hesitate to highlight the lightning-fast turnaround, and rightly so. For the seventh straight month, not a single illegal immigrant has been released into the interior of the country.

After four years of Biden’s chaos, catch-and-release, and open-door madness, this is what actual enforcement looks like. This is what competence looks like. Trump didn’t just talk about securing the border — he did it, quickly, decisively, and without apology.

It’s a clean break from the days when the White House treated lawlessness as compassion and pretended the border crisis didn’t exist. Under Trump, order replaced chaos, and the numbers speak louder than any Democrat media talking point ever could.
