Fox News anchor Bret Baier had a strong reaction after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbardâs claims regarding the Obama administration â most notably her allegation that former President Barack Obama engaged in a âtreasonous conspiracyâ against his successor, Donald Trump.
Baier offered more analysis on Gabbardâs comments at the White House briefing last week, where she detailed âevidenceâ that she claimed âpoints toâ Obamaâs role in fueling a narrative of collusion between Trump and Russia in the wake of the 2016 election.
Gabbard sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department days earlier and accused the Obama administration of trying to âsubvert President Trumpâs 2016 victory and presidency.â
âWell, I look forward to seeing that interview again, Bret. You know, one of the very interesting things here is the different way that Hillary Clinton was treated as opposed to President Trump. She received a defensive briefing. It seems that the highest bar was put in place in terms of any information that could be used against her. It also is revealed in this report that at one point in the process, they were looking at investigating her because they believed that she was sort of throwing all of this stuff about Russia out there, and this dossier out there, in order to cover up for the server investigation. So, at one point, they were looking into that closely; but then thereâs this huge steer towards Trump with, according to these documents, a much lower bar that is needed for the credibility of the information that theyâre going to corral and throw at him, correct?â Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum asked.
âYeah, thatâs exactly right. Now, this is the Trump investigation and this is what theyâre putting out here. Separately, Chuck Grassley has put out these files on the Hillary Clinton email case â which are really eye-opening, as well â and a lot of it is redacted. But I talked about both of those things with Comey back in 2018. There was a major disparity,â Baier responded.
âAnd in the middle of this, you have the Page and Strzok, the two lovers at FBI, who are, they come out with these texts of how biased they are against President Trump; and theyâre in charge of the investigation, of the interview of Hillary Clinton, of the BleachBit phones, of the interview and scheduling for Michael Flynn â then NSA director. And you see how this all kind of comes in together in a way that is â in hindsight, as you look at the big picture â really troubling. I think â listen, we are one of the only outlets thatâs following this in-depth, kind of on the substance, as opposed to, again, a glancing blow; and I think it deserves that kind of coverage,â he added.

Gabbard stated that whistleblowers have been coming forward following the release of documents and a memo revealing the Obama administrationâs efforts to undermine Trump after the 2016 election.
On Friday, Gabbard released these documents and a memo outlining what she described as a âyears-long coupâ against Trump after his victory over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
She characterized the whistleblowers as individuals âdisgustedâ by the alleged âtreasonous conspiracyâ reportedly orchestrated by then-President Barack Obama in response to Clintonâs defeat, the Daily Caller noted.
âWe have whistleblowers ⌠coming forward now, after we released these documents because there are people who were around, who were working within the intelligence community who so disgusted by what happened, weâre starting to see some of them come out of the woodwork here because they, too, like you and I and the American people, want to see justice delivered,â Gabbard told âSunday Morning Futuresâ host Maria Bartiromo.
âSo weâre going to provide everything that we have, everything that we will continue to gather, to the Department of Justice for that direct intent and that direct purpose,â she said.
âThere must be indictments. Those responsible, no matter how powerful they are or were at that time, no matter who was involved in creating this treasonous conspiracy against the American people, they all must be held accountable,â Gabbard continued.
